Software, Hardware, and everything in between
I've consolidated a list of everything I use in my day-to-day work and hobbies. Feel free to reach out if there's something you're interested in learning more about.
Workstation
16” MacBook Pro, M1 Pro, 16GB RAM (2022)
I decided to get this since I knew I would be traveling a lot and wanted to continue working on my side projects. Originally I’ve only ever used PCs (custom built!!), but it was always a headache getting the tech stack to work, installing libaries/packages, and setting up a VM. I’m still amazed at how well my MacBook runs and only regret not getting it sooner. I can be up and running within seconds instead of making my set up a chore.
Ducky One 2 Mini - Pure White
OK, I couldn’t help but get this after seeing it mentioned on Reddit. I probably should have gotten a larger size, but I gotta say, the sound and style is so satisfying.
Development tools
VS Code
The standard.
Cypress / Playwright
For automated testing. I lean more towards Cypress, but decided it would be beneficial to learn Playwright.
Design
TailWindUI
Tailwind makes my life so much easier. I can pick pieces from different concepts and have an app UI up and running without spending additional time designing something new from scratch.
MaterialUI/HeadlessUI
Similar benefit to Tailwind but with the reusability of components. Not having to create a button from scratch makes my life easier. Originally I used MaterialUI with Tailwind, but I’m not implementing HeadlessUI to avoid building customization on top of the MaterialUI stack.
Telescope
8in Dobsonian Orion SkyLine (Zhumell)
Great for seeing the moon and planets, not so great at seeing nebulas and galaxies.
AutoStakkert
For stacking frames of processed videos
PIPP
Initial processing of raw videos.
RegiStax 6
Color balancing and Wavelets
